'Dodge City Daily Globe' Names New Managing Editor

By: The Dodge City Daily Globe has named a 26-year newspaper veteran as its new managing editor.

Gene Lehmann began his journalism career while still a teenager as a photographer at the Guthrie, Okla., Daily Leader. He has also been a reporter, editorial writer, columnist and publisher at several newspapers.

His most recent newspaper post was as publisher of the weekly Malakoff News near Athens, Texas, before an 11-year stint as an inventory control manager in the domestic garment industry.

Lehmann, who's 53, has worked at various smaller newspapers. He has also served as news editor at The Oklahoma Journal in Oklahoma City and as a copy editor and features writer at the Tulsa Tribune, also in Oklahoma.
