Dorsey Named to Board of Directors of the Southern Newspaper Publishers Association

Herald-Tribune publisher Patrick Dorsey has been named to the board of directors of the Southern Newspaper Publishers Association, or SNPA.

Dorsey's publishing career began with Gannett in 1993 as an internal auditor at the media company's corporate offices in Virginia. He then was a controller for Tucson Newspapers Inc. in Tucson, Arizona; director of finance for Army Times Publishing Co. in Springfield, Virginia; group controller for Gannett Offset, also in Springfield; director of finance for the Florida Today newspaper in Melbourne on Florida's east coast, and group controller of the Gannett South newspaper group, also in Melbourne. Dorsey was president and publisher of the Tallahassee Democrat from 2005 until 2012. He was named Herald-Tribune Media Group publisher in October 2012.
