By: E&P Staff Dow Jones has teamed up with internet video service Brightcove to create an online video channel that will link video segments to appropriate stories on Barrons Online, WSJ.com, and Marketwatch.com, and allow users to upload their own videos.
The video segments that appear on the channel will include original reporting by Dow Jones staffers, and will be organized into four sections: News, Analysis, Pursuits and Special Reports. Additionally, the "Opinion" section will feature commentary from the Wall Street Journal's editorial page.
"We are pleased to partner with Brightcove to further enhance the
daily, original video programming on our sites, which represent the
world's leading sources for business and financial news," said Gordon
McLeod, president, Dow Jones Online. "Brightcove enables us to deliver
the high-quality programming our consumers expect, while offering the
immediacy, interactivity and entertainment inherent to an on-demand
digital video experience."
Videos on the site are all free and available to the public.
