Dowd Finally Joins TimesSelect Effort

Posted
By: E&P Staff Maureen Dowd, one of The New York Times' star attractions, and its lone holdout on providing original material for its new pay service, TimesSelect, has finally relented.

An ad in today's paper announces that the op-ed columnist and bestselling author will be taking, and presumably responding to, e-mailed questions concerning her provocative Sunday Magazine piece this week on the past and future of feminism.

Her TimesSelect page at the Times' site provides a form for sending her an e-mail on this topic, but no responses yet.

All of the other Times columnists have been providing to the paid section some sort of add-on to their published work, in the form of interviews, Q & A, lists of what they are reading or their favorite Web sites, and so forth.
