R. Jay Driskill joined News Publishing Co. as circulation manager of its Rome (Ga.) News-Tribune, where he oversees day-to-day home delivery and single-copy sales of NPCo community newspapers.
Having spent much of his career in newspaper circulation, Driskill was circulation director for the Daily Tribune News, in Cartersville, Ga., and worked for the Chattanooga (Tenn.) Times Free-Press, the Gwinnett Daily Post, Lawrenceville, Ga., and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
"My dad was in this business working for the Gainesville Times, Huntsville Times and Gadsden Times in delivery and management, so I have been around it my whole life," Driskill told the News-Tribune.
Also is a writer and musician, Driskill authored Roguesblade and "Necropolis: A Collection of Spectres, and recorded his own CD, playing all the musical instruments.
