Drunk Driver Nearly Crashes Into Seattle 'P-I' Building

By: Police arrested a suspected drunken driver for investigation of DUI after he nearly crashed into the Seattle Post-Intelligencer building early Sunday.

The crash occurred about 1:45 a.m. when the driver ran his car into a tree next to the P-I parking garage.

The newspaper said when a building security guard rushed outside, he found the driver standing next to the car, acting disoriented, with flames coming from under the hood of the driver's two-door sedan.

Firefighters were called and police directed traffic at the scene until about 3:15 a.m., when a tow truck towed away the damaged vehicle.
