By: E&P Staff John Perry has been appointed chief operating officer of the East Oregonian Publishing Company in Salem, Ore., publisher of The Daily Astorian in Astoria and East Oregonian in Pendleton, Ore., as well as three weeklies.
Perry, 53, has been an executive vice president with King County Journal Newspapers in Bellevue, Wash., since 2003. Before that, he served as publisher of the South County Journal in Kent, Wash, from 1994 to 2002.
