Editor Suspects Islamist Radicals Attacked His Paper's Web Site

By: The editor of a Kosovo newspaper says he suspects that Islamist radicals attacked the paper's Web site because it reported on the trial of a Kosovo Albanian accused in the U.S. of plotting terrorist acts.

Berat Buzhala says the Web site of the daily Express was blocked for 10 hours early Tuesday and hackers left a warning to "stop ridiculing" Islam. Buzhala says the incident has been reported to the authorities.

Express covered the trial of Hysen Sherifi, 24, a member of a group of seven terrorism suspects led by Daniel Patrick Boyd. Sherifi was the only non-U.S. citizen among the accused, who were arrested in North Carolina on suspicion of military style training and gearing up for a "violent jihad."
