By: E&P Staff Paul Rigby, the Australian editorial cartoonist who spent part of his career at the New York Post and the New York Daily News, has died in western Australia at the age of 82.
The award-winning Melbourne native started as a newspaper illustrator in 1948, and began drawing editorial cartoons for the Perth Daily News in 1952. Rigby also worked for papers such as the Sydney Daily Mirror, the Sydney Daily Telegraph, and The Sun in London, England.
His son, Bay Rigby, succeeded him at the New York Post.
