EFE News Service Among Outlets Joining Mochila Espanol

By: E&P Staff The Mochila syndication service has added several Spanish-language outlets to its roster of "members."

Among them is the EFE news service that focuses on Latin America. It offers about 550-600 stories a day.

Mochila Espanol was launched last September, and now has 37 "members."

The one-year-old Mochila -- whose more than 260 "members" include the Associated Press and Los Angeles Times/Washington Post News Service -- enables sellers to upload content to its site and then set prices, embargoes, exclusions, and other licensing rules. Buyers search for content, review prices and licensing terms, and purchase their choices. Content is then downloaded to their computer.
