By: E&P Staff Users of EidosMedia's Methode Portal Server now have a native iPhone application that users can be customized for their publications and download and install.
Methode already supported delivery to mobile phones for editorial content developed in XML through use of suitable stylesheets for any display type, and it allows news content to be customized automatically to various common handsets.
"The iPhone app requires no technical development on the part of the news organization," EidosMedia Marketing Vice President Massimo Barsotti said in a statement.
The app fully supports all iPhone multi-touch and geo-location features. All kinds of content (text, photo, video galleries) created with EidosMedia's Web CMS is automatically optimized for the iPhone's display capabilities.
