By: E&P Staff Manugraph DGM Inc., Elizabethville, Pa., sold new press equipment to El Mercurio, Cuenca, Ecuador, where it will replace a News King press.
The Manugraph DGM press line consists of eight DGM 430 units configured as two towers with one DGM 1035 folder, as well as one DGM 440 tower, equipped with ultraviolet curing, to the nose of the folder.
El Mercurio delivers two broadsheet morning editions and an evening tabloid, with a combined circulation of 60,000 copies.
The Manugraph DGM press is expected to be running by October, in time for the 450th anniversary of the city of Cuenca in November.
