'Elderberries' Cartoonist Pandolph to Feature Exclusively on GoComics.com

By: E&P Staff Corey Pandolph, artist of the syndicated comic strip "The Elderberries" in addition to three other Web comics, announced Friday that new editions of his comics would be featured exclusively on GoComics.com. The change takes effect Monday.

Pandolph had previously featured each of his comics on a separate site, in addition to GoComics.com, as well as maintaining his own blog "Fake Rockstar."

"I?ve had enough," Pandolph wrote on Fake Rockstar Friday. "Enough of maintaining four websites, uploading comics to six different places and selling next to nothing ... As of this Monday, August 17th, the ONLY place you can read new 'Barkeater Lake,' 'TOBY, Robot Satan' and 'Greene With Envy' will be at GoComics.com." According to Pandolph, he also receives a part of GoComics' ad revenue, as well as from subscriptions to the site's myComics service, which allows readers to create a homepage featuring favorite comics, receive daily e-mails of strips, and view comic archives.

Pandolph took over the Universal Press-syndicated "Elderberries" after the death of original creator Phil Frank in 2007. He has drawn "Barkeater Lake," about with a small town in the Adirondack Mountains since 2004, and has since added the self-explanatory "TOBY, Robot Satan," and "Greene With Envy," about a childless suburban couple, to his resume.

"This will greatly reduce my workload, as I will no longer have to maintain the individual sites, blogs and updates," Pandolph wrote on his Web site. "I?ll have one place to upload the strips and you?ll have one place you can read them. Win/win!"
