England's Miles 33 Acquires Scotland's Televisual

By: E&P Staff Miles 33 in Bracknell, England, and Norwalk, Conn., today acquired Televisual Data Ltd. of Dundee, Scotland. Founded in 1992, Televisual supplies the Asset suite of editorial workflow and content management software to newspapers and magazines.

According to Miles 33, Televisual saw continued growth in sales revenue worldwide in 2008, when it opened a subsidiary in Malaysia to support customers in Asia and added four publishing sites to it's customer base in Britain.

"Operational and logistical challenges facing a small company are formidable. By Televisual being part of a much larger group I am very pleased to have secured the future of my products and therefore my customers," Televisual owner Alan Gibson said in a statement. Gibson will join the Miles 33 senior management team.

"I see Miles 33 as a key consolidator of suppliers to the markets we serve, said Miles 33 CEO Michael Moore.
