By: Staff Reports Two New Categories For Second Annual Contest
Entries are now being accepted for the second annual Online
Journalism Awards. There are two new categories this year --
feature journalism and innovative presentation of information.
The other categories are: general excellence, breaking news,
enterprise journalism, service journalism, creative use of the
medium, and commentary.
News sites have until July 16 to submit entries using the online
entry form, http://www.onlinejournalismawards.org/form.html.
Presented by the Online News Association and the Columbia Graduate School of
Journalism, this year's awards will be presented at the ONA
conference in Berkeley, Calif., on Oct. 27.
Both independent Web sites (online-only news) and affiliated Web
sites (those owned by newspapers, magazines, broadcast, or radio)
can make submissions, but they compete in separate categories.
