By: Greg Mitchell Two new blogs, brought to you (at last) by E&P, will make their debut on Wednesday. So get ready to read, react, join in the fun and post your own comments.
One of the blogs builds on (and shares a name) with our popular, breezy weekly podcast, "Fitz & Jen Give You the Business." It will be written by longtime Editor-at-Large Mark Fitzgerald (in Chicago) and Jennifer Saba, E&P's associate editor, in New York.
The other is titled (in a reference to the long-cherished stereotype of newspaper employees enjoying a drink now and then) "The E&P Pub." It will include contributions by the entire staff, meaning Fitzgerald, Saba, Editor Greg Mitchell, Managing Editor Shawn Moynihan, and senior editors Jim Rosenberg, Joe Strupp and Dave Astor.
Visitors to the E&P Pub will be invited to "belly up to the bar," chat up your friends and distant colleagues, and "throw a few darts."
Fitz & Jen, as the full name might suggests, will focus on business issues, very broadly defined. The Pub will be more newsroom-oriented but include hot topics from every area of newspapering -- and, one suspects, other media, blogs, even a Twitter or two ...
Buttons that will take you directly to the blogs will appear on our home page next week. Look for them after Labor Day. And get those darts ready!
