Evers-Druck Offers An Extended Format Spectrum With The Ferag UniDrum 480

In the past year, Evers-Druck GmbH in Meldorf (to the north of Hamburg) has commissioned a UniDrum 480 – the company’s third gatherer-stitcher drum – that’s extending the format spectrum and boosting performance. The production options in web offset printing and in finishing to create catalogues, brochures and magazines are many and varied. One focus of the activities is the competitive production of compact formats smaller that A4. Countless numbers of these products have been processed over a number of years on Ferag’s SHT-350 and UniDrum 420 gatherer-stitcher drums.

To also achieve unbeatable productivity in the case of the requested compact formats between DIN A5 and A4 with gathering-stitching in 2-up, Evers-Druck has extended its format and performance range by acquiring a UniDrum 480, which is now the third Ferag gatherer-stitcher drum in the company. It was installed with the format-compatible SNT-50 trimming drum and the tried-and-tested SplitTrim separating module. This installation is augmented by the EasySert inserting system so that supplements can be added to the commercial products inline.

Technology Manager Matthias Langenohl notes that, with the UniDrum 420 and 480 operating in combination with card gluers, A5 stacker and palletizer, Evers-Druck achieves an especially high output level.
