E.W. Scripps' Stautberg Adds Treasurer Title

By: E&P Staff E.W. Scripps CFO and Senior Vice President Timothy E. Stautberg will assume the additional title of corporate treasurer when E. John Wolfzorn retires at the end of the month, the Cincinnati-based newspaper publisher and broadcast station operator said Monday.

Wolfzorn has been with Scripps for 36 years and its treasurer since 1979. In 2002 he picked up additional financial management responsibilities when he was named a corporate vice president.

Wolfzorn, who joined Scripps in 1973 as a financial analyst, will continue as treasurer of the Scripps Howard Foundation. He retires June 30.

"John's financial skills and business intuition have served Scripps well for more than three decades," Scripps President and CEO Rich Boehne said in a statement. "His leadership and discernment have helped us grow and expand, while at the same time protecting our good financial health."
