Eysaman Named Editor of 'The Union-Recorder'

By: Ken Eysaman has been named editor of The Union-Recorder, publisher Keith Barlow announced.

Eysaman, who started work Monday, will manage The Union-Recorder's news, editorial, and photo coverage of Milledgeville, Baldwin County, and the surrounding areas.

He comes to the Milledgeville daily from the Marietta Daily Journal, where he had served as news editor since February 2006.

"We are very pleased to have Ken join The Union-Recorder. He comes to us with just the right experience," Barlow said.

Before moving to Georgia, Eysaman was editor of MetroWest Newspapers, a group of community newspapers and specialty publications in suburban Denver, Colo.

Eysaman began his newspaper career in 1995 with Beverly, Mass.-based Essex County Newspapers, and later worked as a reporter for the daily Greenfield, Mass., Recorder.

In 2000, he moved to Denver, where he worked as a reporter for Evergreen Newspapers . In 2002, he was promoted to editor there, and in 2004, moved to MetroWest Newspapers.

The Union-Recorder is published by Birmingham, Ala.-based Community Newspaper Holdings Inc.
