Facebook Reports 41% of Its Advertising Revenues from Mobile Users in Q2

Facebook is bouncing back.

Doubts about the social-media giant's role in a mobile world were quieted Wednesday after the company blew away earnings estimates as users flocked to its mobile apps. In pre-market trading Thursday, shares soared 23%.

More than a year after its beleaguered initial public offering, Facebook is showing signs that the No. 1 social-networking venue may be turning the corner and realizing its vision of making money from connecting users around the world.
