By: E&P Staff St. Petersburg Times TV/Media Critic Eric Deggans followed up his Friday blog post on a Feb. 10 comics action with a Monday story.
His feature article is headlined "Minority cartoonists: Don't lump us together" and sub-headed "A group plans to mock the idea that their work is interchangeable because of their race."
On Feb. 10, at least eight African-American cartoonists will draw similar comics to satirize the way many newspaper editors think their comics are interchangeable -- even though strips by black cartoonists are as different from each other as strips by white cartoonists.
