By: The attorney for convicted newspaper executive F. David Radler said today that the Pennsylvania prisoner has been turned over to Canadian authorities.
Radler had been serving a 29-month sentence in a U.S. prison for joining Conrad Black in swindling the Hollinger International media empire out of millions of dollars.
On Sept. 18, Radler was sent to Canada under an exchange treaty between the two nations.
Radler stands to get his sentence sharply reduced there.
Black is a Canadian-born British baron and the face of the Hollinger empire. He was sentenced to six and a half years after Radler pleaded guilty and testified against him.
