Ferag Follows Atex, Goss out of mediaXchange

By: E&P Staff Post-press systems manufacturer Ferag/WRH is joining Goss International in skipping the Newspaper Association of America's mediaXchange event, which replaces its Nexpo equipment show and its Marketing conference.

The decision was made based on low expected attendance, according to Ferag.

Goss is Ferag's North American distributor distributor. In an announcement, Goss suggested the new format is not a good fit for the press manufacturer (E&P Online, Jan. 20). NAA's mediaXchange is scheduled for March 9-11 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

"We were one of the largest and most consistent participants throughout the history of the ANPA and NEXPO shows," Goss CEO Jochen Meissner said, referring to the equipment show and its predecessor, ANPA/TECH.

Another large, longtime participant, Atex, withdrew as an exhibitor earlier this month. It announced today that it plans to hold a series of its own regional events to highlight its new and emerging products.
