Ferag Offers SNT 50 Single-Rotor, Three-Side Trimmer

The latest development from Ferag Verfahrenstechnik GmbH, Leipzig, Germany, is the SNT 50 single-rotor trimming drum, successor to the SNT-35, 42 and 48 models. It can be used for high-pagination products up to an untrimmed format of 19.7 inches x 12.6 inches or up to 17.7 inches x 11.8 inches trimmed.

Newspapers can use the SNT 50 to trim magazine sections, ad inserts and brochures, with or without a cover of heavier stock. For commercial work, the trimmer can handle catalogs and magazines.

The SNT 50 holds products gently but securely, without altering their position in the pockets. Unlike the SNT-U, with the SNT 50 the three-side trim is carried out first on the front and then simultaneously on the head and foot, as with Ferag's twin rotor trimming drums.
