FFEI to Demo New CTP Devices at Ifra Expo

By: E&P Staff A former Fujifilm division that became an independent prepress equipment and workflow supplier after last fall's management buyout, FFEI Ltd., Hemel Hempstead, U.K., said it will launch of a range of computer-to-plate devices developed specifically for newspapers.

To be demonstrated for the first time at the Ifra Expo next month in Vienna, the new line, with "unique bed technology," will include manual, semi-automatic and fully automatic devices with production speeds for local, regional and national newspapers. The top-of-the-line model produces up to 225 Berliner-sized plates per hour.

FFEI also will highlight "extensive manufacturing and product development capabilities," the company announced.
