'Financial Times' Partners with Foursquare

Posted
By: E&P Staff The Financial Times has struck up a partnership with social media outfit Foursquare that allows specific users access to its content for free.

Foursquare is a location-based service that lets people "check in" to destinations, allowing their followers to see where they are at any given time. The FT is going to give free subscriptions to its site to Foursquare users who check in at financial places and educational institutions, reports Gillian Reagan at Business Insider.

Select Foursquare users who check in at the appropriate places will get access to a code that can be applied to free subscription to FT.com.

An FT spokesperson wrote to Reagan about the partnership: "We?re always looking for new ways to engage with our audience and tap into a younger demographic and a new generation of FT readers."
