'Financial Times' Will Extend Delay in Unlocking Stories for Aggregators

Posted
By: E&P Staff In an effort to establish more of a direct link between the paper and its readers, the Financial Times has announced that it will extend by 12 hours the delay between the time it prints an article and when it allows news aggregators to use its content, reports editorsweblog.com.

While the site is already subscriber-only, its articles can currently be accessed online after 12 hours through aggregating services like Factiva.com. The move will change that time window to 24 hours.
