By: Authorities say a fire in a ventilation unit at the Reno Gazette-Journal was doused in about 15 minutes, but the newspaper press run and morning distribution was delayed.
No injuries were reported.
Reno fire Battalion Chief Rik Kajans says the fire was reported just after midnight in a second-floor utility room at the rear of the building on Kuenzli Street.
About 20 employees evacuated the building before firefighters arrived.
Smoke filled press rooms and distribution areas, as well as the second-floor press control room, employee locker rooms and storage areas.
Advertising, editorial and business offices were not affected.
