By: E&P Staff Advanced Vision Technology, Hod-Hasharon, Israel, supplier of automatic optical inspection and quality-assurance systems for printers, has appointed William Fleck to the AVT/GMI sales team.
To be headquartered in the Chicago area and report to Windell McGill, AVT vice president of sales and national accounts, Fleck be responsible for all AVT products, including those for newspapers, from Illinois and Wisconsin Washington state and British Columbia.
Fleck previously had been with GMI and has experience with such companies as Du Pont Graphics Imaging and Goss.
Last October, AVT bought all outstanding shares and related intellectual property of GMI (Graphic Microsystems Inc.), supplier of closed-loop color-control systems, color-management and reporting software, and remote digital ink-fountain controls.
