By: E&P Staff Flint Ink North America has increased the price of its color newspaper inks by 6%.
The Ann Arbor, Mich.-based Flint said the increases were a response to the rising costs of raw materials, transportation, energy and environmental compliance.
The newspaper ink increases were part of a 6% price hike on a variety of coldset and heatset products. The increase was effective April 1.
Prices for UV ink products for web and sheetfed presses will also be increased 6% effective May 1, Flint said.
