Flint to Relocate in Early '07

By: E&P Staff Flint Ink says it will relocate from its offices in Ann Arbor Township, Mich., to nearby Plymouth Township early next year.

The company has occupied its Ann Arbor headquarters since 1992. The Flint family owns the current building, which has been the company's headquarters since 1992.

The current 150,000-square-foot headquarters was larger than needed to accommodate a workforce that was scaled down after Flint Ink Corp.'s new owners merged the business with Germany's Xsys Print Solutions last year.

The new offices are "close enough that employees shouldn't have to travel much farther from home to get to work," The Ann Arbor News reported today. Of the 150 employees in Ann Arbor, 25 to 30 are expected to transfet to Flint's Jetrion subsidiary in Ypsilanti.

How Dublin Inquirer uses legal risk assessments to keep accountability journalism moving

When Dublin Inquirer publishes a sensitive accountability story, the challenge isn’t just reporting the facts. It’s deciding whether a small, seven-person newsroom can afford the legal risks that sometimes come with telling the public what it needs to know. For editor and co-founder Sam Tranum and deputy editor Lois Kapila, those decisions once came down to late-night conversations and educated guesswork. Today, the independent Dublin newsroom relies on Reporters Shield’s Legal Risk Assessment service to help identify potential legal vulnerabilities before publication—allowing journalists to move forward with greater confidence while keeping important stories alive.
