By: E&P Staff Flint Ink Corp., Ann Arbor, Mich., announced an agreement between its Latin America business unit and press maker Goss International Corp. to sell a wide range of Goss newspaper printing equipment and services. Flint Ink becomes the exclusive agent for Goss newspaper presses, parts, and services in the Caribbean (except Trinidad and Tobago), Central America (except Mexico) and South America (except Brazil).
The arrangement will provide newspapers with more access to Goss printing technology and Flint ink systems and expertise, according to Ernesto Oliveira, Vice President, Latin America, Goss International.
Customers will benefit from "frequent personalized communications" with a trusted single-source provider of ink and press requirements, said Flint Ink Latin America President Jerko Rendic.
Flint Ink will provide complete sales support for Goss newspaper presses, parts, and consumables. Goss' Latin American offices and its Bolingbrook, Ill., headquarters will handle distribution, and technical support.
Calling the alliance with Flint "invaluable in helping us extend our customer reach," Oliveira crefdited Flint's sales force with "in-depth knowledge of our newspaper press equipment and a dedication to good customer service."
