The majority of abuse, threats and harassment facing women in the media comes not from the work they do, but from the places they work.
In a study released Monday from the International News Safety Institute and the International Women’s Media Foundation, about 64 percent of women reported facing abuse, threats and intimidation related to their work, and more than half of that came from a boss, supervisor or co-worker, according to the study.
