By: E&P Staff Former Associated Press journalist Mort Rosenblum is among the people involved in a new current-affairs journal called "Dispatches."
"Each quarter, we look hard, up close, at a single critical subject with about 25,000 words of essays, a long photo essay, and some surprises," e-mailed Rosenblum, who co-edits "Dispatches" with Gary Knight (the latter is also art director).
The first issue is titled "Dispatches in America."
Rosenbloom reported for the AP from 1965 to 2004 on various international conflicts, including the Vietnam and Iraq wars. He left the wire service between 1979 and 1981 to serve as editor of the International Herald Tribune. Rosenbloom is also the author of 12 books, and a visiting professor at the University of Arizona.
