By: Former Ashland Daily Tidings editor Scot Bolsinger has been sentenced to three years in prison for cheating business partners out of hundreds of thousands of dollars.

In a plea agreement, Bolsinger pleaded guilty Wednesday in Jackson County Circuit Court to two counts of theft and one count each of forgery and identity theft.

He also agreed to pay restitution.

The Mail Tribune newspaper reports that though his crimes led to the collapse of 2 print shops, a restaurant and a bar, Bolsinger wrote the judge that he felt he was a good man who just lost perspective.

Bolsinger is already in prison serving a 20-month sentence for sexually abusing a 16-year-old girl while teaching at a private school near Salem.
