A former Roanoke Times sportswriter has countersued the newspaper’s parent company, claiming he was defamed in the daily’s reporting on a disputed Twitter account.

Andy Bitter, who covered Virginia Tech football for the Roanoke Times, cites an Aug. 7 story published in the newspaper about BH Media Group’s lawsuit against him.
