By: E&P Staff The San Francisco Chronicle named Michael LaBonia senior vice president of advertising. LaBonia was previously senior vice president of sales and strategic development at the Star Tribune in Minneapolis.
"Mike is a highly respected professional within our industry with a strong track record in sales and business development across a variety of platforms," Frank Vega, president and publisher of the Chronicle, said in a statement.
Prior to joining the Star Tribune, LaBonia was vice president and managing director for advertising, multi-media, and interactive media at the South Florida Sun-Sentinel in Fort Lauderdale. He also served as vice president and general manager of WGNO-TV/WNOL-TV in New Orleans.
LaBonia, along with others, was named as a defendant in the St. Paul Pioneer Press'
lawsuit against the Star Tribune involving Par Ridder.
