By: The former publisher of The Washington Examiner has joined Western Colorprint Inc. as its president and chief operating officer.
Herbert W. Moloney III resigned from the newspaper last week after serving as publisher since April 2005. He was succeeded by Michael Phelps, who also is taking on the role of chief executive officer of the Baltimore-Washington Examiner Group.
Denver-based Western Colorprint provides advertising supplements and cartoons to newspapers.
"His proven expertise and innovative outlook will lead to important new revenue for our client newspapers in an increasingly competitive environment," Western Color Chairman Jeffrey Reimer said of Moloney.
Prior to joining The Examiner, Moloney was the chief operating officer of Vertis Inc., an advertising content provider.
