Forget BuzzFeed’s watermelon. The more apt commentary on media today came in the form of Monday’s Pulitzer Prize announcements, streamed to the masses through Facebook Live.
Many news organizations have been built on and broken by Facebook’s algorithm in recent years, and now those same outlets have cut out the unforgiving middleman and begun publishing directly onto the social network.
