Freedom Communications Inc., the owner of the Orange County Register, is crossing the northern border once again, this time to launch the Los Angeles Register sometime next year.
The media conglomerate, which earlier this year started a Long Beach edition, announced the L.A. newspaper at a staff meeting Thursday at its Santa Ana headquarters.
