By: E&P Staff It's not something that gets a good deal of attention at this time of year, or ever, but a new Gallup poll reveals that a little more than 1 in 10 Americans object to Halloween "on religious grounds."
That number, 11%, climbs to 27% among those who attend religious services weekly.
Additionally, better than 1 in 4 evangelicals object to Halloween.
The survey of 1001 adults was conducted Oct. 23-26.
For the entire sample, 2 out of 3 said they passed out treats, and about 1 in 6 said they'd likely attend a Halloween party.
