By: E&P Staff Post-press equipment and systems supplier Gammerler AG has announced a new ledership team upon completion of it acquisition by Bielenberg Beteiligungs GmbH, which became majority shareholder last year.
Under the new ownership, Gerhard Winklhofer will become the chairman of Gammerler AG's supervisory board and Kai Bielenberg will be a Gammerler director. Robert Moll will remain as CEO. The company's founder, Hagen Gammerler, who retains a minority of shares, will assist the board of directors as advisory council chairman. Gunter Gammerler continues as CEO of the Gammerler Corp. subsidiary in Palmetto, Fla.
Winklhofer and Bielenberg have manufacturing backgrounds. Under Winklhofer's leadership, German chain manufacturer Iwis Kettensysteme was selected as supplier of the year by Ford Motor Company and Opel AG. The company also won the Bavarian government's quality award.
In a prepared release, the company says its new owners "plan to leverage their knowledge of quality programs and cost-leadership strategies to improve on Gammerler's current success and to enhance customer service beyond the point of purchase."
