By: E&P Staff Andy Jacobson has been appointed vice president of sales for Gannett Digital. He will report to Chris Saridakis, Gannett's senior vice president and chief digital officer.
Jacobson most recently was senior vice president of sales at Email Data Source, a company that provides e-mail marketing data.
In his new role, Jacobson will oversee national sales across Gannett's online network consisting of more than 100 digital sites for its newspapers, including USA Today, broadcast properties and digital communities like MomsLikeMe.
"Gannett's digital business now makes up over 10% of our revenue and is a strategic growth priority for our company," Saridakis said in statement. "Andy will help us as we build an unmatched sales organization in digital, leveraging the depth and breadth of our reach."
Jacobson has also worked in executive sales positions at Context Web and Double Click. He helped build out Google's first tad sales organization.
