Gannett Earnings Up 54% on Broadcasting, Digital Gains

Gannett, the media company that owns USA TODAY, said Tuesday its adjusted fourth-quarter net income rose 54% to $234.8 million, as its broadcasting and digital units generated higher sales and profits.

Adjusted earnings per share for the quarter totaled $1.02 vs. analysts' consensus estimate of $1.01. The estimates, compiled by Zacks Investment Research, ranged from $1 to $1.02.
