By: E&P Staff Gannett unveiled today Gannett Video Enterprises, a new business that repackages Gannett broadcasting content for on-air, online, and wireless distribution.
?We are taking the best, most exciting work from our award-winning television stations and customizing it for use by other media,? said Roger Ogden, president and CEO of Gannett Broadcasting, in a statement. ?Viewers and clients across the country will benefit as we expand the reach of our strong, quality programming.?
The programming will range from full 30 to 60 minutes shows for television to one to three minute segments for online and wireless platforms.
Holly Nielsen has been named director of the Gannett Video Enterprises and will oversee the day-to-day operations of the unit. Nielsen was most recently executive producer with KPRC-TV in Houston.
Allan Horlick will head up the sales effort and strategy for the new business. Horlick has served as president and general manager of WRC-TV in Washington D.C. and is a 25-year NBC veteran and consultant.
