Gannett Picks Mkt. Development VP

By: E&P Staff Susie Ellwood has been appointed vice president/market development for the Gannett Newspaper Division. Since 1991, she has served as vice president/market development for Detroit Newspapers, a joint operating agreement between the Gannett-owned Detroit News and Knight Ridder's Detroit Free Press. Prior to her time at Gannett, Ellwood was vice president and director of marketing for the Arkansas Gazette in Little Rock.

"Susie has a breadth of experience in newspaper marketing and an extremely impressive record of success," said Donald Stinson, senior vice president/marketing in the Newspaper Division, in a statement. "We are excited to have her put her skills to work for Gannett newspapers across the country."

Ellwood is an eight-time recipient of Gannett's President Ring award, a program that recognizes top achievement by executives within the newspaper division.
