'Garfield' to Be Spotlighted in 'Total Licensing' Magazine

By: E&P Staff Total Licensing magazine's June issue is scheduled to contain a feature about "Garfield" as the cartoon property nears its 30th anniversary next month.

The magazine interviewed "Garfield" creator Jim Davis -- whose comic began in June 1978 and, several years later, started its ongoing run as a licensing powerhouse. Over the decades, there have been books, TV shows, stuffed animals, clothes, bedding, games, stationery, and much more.

"Garfield" runs in about 2,600 newspapers via Universal Press Syndicate.
