By: E&P Staff NordWest Zeitung will implement the Methode multiple-media publishing platform from EidosMedia through an agreement with its IT subsidiary, Medien Systempartner GmbH & Co. KG. The project includes moving the archive to the Methode content management system.
The selection followed a pilot project involving editorial and technical staffs. "We were particularly impressed by the flexibility of the multiple-channel features which will allow us to share content between print and Web editions, and the digital archive giving staff access to a complete range of multimedia assets," Managing Editor Rolf Sellheim said in a statement.
The six-day paper serves a regional readership through eight print editions and its Web site, www.nwzonline.do. The installation will serve approximately 180 users distributed among a central newsroom and 18 bureaus and will also be used to produce supplements and magazines.
