Globeandmail.com, the online
news site of Canada's The Globe and Mail, is compiling a team of
journalists to write and edit breaking news primarily for the Web site.
Edward Greenspon, executive editor, and Neil A. Campbell, sports editor
are leading the editorial initiative to provide more original breaking
news on the newspaper's site. Already named to the online team is Web
columnist Mathew Ingram, formerly the Globe's Business West
columnist. Contributions from The Globe and Mail's news
operations will support the new team's online efforts.
'Having a dedicated team of Web journalists means that users can come to
expect the type of credible and insightful reporting that's been the
backbone of The Globe for more than 150 years,' said Greenspon.
Globeandmail.com is part of Globe Web Centre, a group of sites powered
by the Thomson Corp. subsidiary Globe Interactive. Globe Web Centre
consists of globeandmail.com, globeinvestor.com, globefund.com,
workopolis.com, globetechnology.com, chaptersglobe.com,
robmagazine.com, ROBtv.com, and globemegawheels.com.
