By: Jennifer Saba General Motors kicked off a campaign today in 75 of the country's top metro newspapers, including USA Today, to promote its 72-month, 0% financing incentive.
Deborah Silverman, GM corporate spokesperson, said the blitz runs for three days--or, fitting with the promotion, 72 hours. The promotion touts 0% financing for those qualified buyers over the next three years. The offer lasts until Thursday.
McCann Erickson, the national agency of record handling the GM account, is running full-page black and white ads in newspapers across the country in addition to TV and radio buys.
The Wall Street Journal reported that the estimated media spend for the promotion would total roughly $200 million. Silverman denied the figure. "We don't speak about the amount," she told E&P.
